FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – The supplier Continental intends to present its business with rubber products for the automotive industry to potential buyers and partners in the fourth quarter. The company’s CEO Nikolai Setzer told the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” (Monday edition). Despite the crisis in the industry, he is also “confident” that the electronics division will be spun off by the end of next year as planned.
With regard to speculation that the automotive supplier would also divide up the rest of the company after the automotive separation, Setzer said that the management was taking things “step by step”. The focus is now fully on the spin-off of Automotive. “With our new structure, we are creating all options to position ourselves even more flexibly depending on the development of our customers and markets and to make the best possible use of our opportunities.”/he
